Meet Pam Sable
The uneven edges, the distressed finish, the unrefined, heavily, textured and patinated surface are what I find to be the most beautiful aspects of my work. I find perfection in the imperfections. My home, my style of dress, all my surroundings reflect the part of my personality that shows up in the wear and tear of life and experience. I didn't plan it, it just happened and that is how my jewelry has evolved.
As a classically trained artist, I started working in metal with the sole purpose of appealing to the masses, which at the time meant simple, clean lines, high polish and understated. As I developed a closer relationship to my medium, I learned the constraints of metalsmithing were really only guidelines. In turn, I was free to explore, create and develop skills that were only limited by my imagination.
As I have found my artistic voice, so too, have I found my audience. The wearers of my jewelry are as individual as the pieces they purchase. Each piece is my unique creation, that speaks to me, as it is constructed at my bench. Once it leaves my studio, my hope is to attract the buyer whose individuality showcases the jewelry and is a reflection of their personality.
